Sunday: Koinonia Worship and Next Year Begins

Worship at Koinonia following Holiday Bible Camp is always a special time. Each age group presents their favorite parts of the week and many times create special songs, readings, and dramas for the worship. This year was no exception as we worship Our Lord through the Scriptures being quote. We love, " (bible passage)...it says..." This year the teens and youth presented some original songs and dance for worship. These were spectacular.

These past weeks worshiping at Koinonia has been special as we watched children that we had taught or youth we have worked with leading in different parts of the worship. This Sunday, Moses led the praise team. Each week, members of the praise team were the children of the first year or teens of each year. What a blessing to see their growth and growing in leadership in the Body of Christ.

As always, Koinonia says thank you in a generous way. After worship, Lucia, Bonnie and Floyd joined Simon, James, and Samuel for a group photo. ACTS Fellowship, Greenville, SC, (the SC team's home church family)provides support for these three young men. We are so proud of them. James has finished carpentry training is now moving into the "real world" of apprenticeship under a craftsman, Fred, who is a member of Koinonia. His dream is to start his own woodworking shop. Simon is going to new school this year--he is doing so well that the church is sending him to a more advanced school. Samuel continues to grow and serve in the Lord. This week Samuel passes from childhood to manhood. He will be circumcised as is the custom of his tribe, the Kikuyu. Samuel is preparing for vocational school in the coming years. What a joy to celebrate our love for one another.

Our last get together with the Koinonia team ended with an agreement by Teleios Ministry for Holiday Bible Camps the first of August and the annual camp end of November first of December. You can sign up now.

We left Koinonia and picked up our coffee for the journey. Lucia leaves for the States tonight. We got her to the airport just before 9 PM. A little late but everything worked out great for her. Bonnie and I leave tomorrow for Tanzania. Just a few more hours of safari left for the Holiday Bible week Camp
