Sunday Morning: Koinonia Reunion

Sunday Morning everyone was up and ready to see our friends at Koinonia Baptist Church. We had a usual “first” breakfast at the Kentmere: Spanish omelet, bacon/sausage, passion juice, pineapple, mango, fresh croissant/toast, and Kenyan coffee and tea.

We realized that we did not have many pictures of worship—pole, pole (very sorry). The worship was exciting and the singing as usual was wonderful. We forgot about pictures and just celebrated life in Jesus Christ with our brothers and sisters at Koinonia. Rose was the worship leader, Duncan led the praise team, Samuel brought a great scriptural introduction to the offering, and Bernard gave emphasis to the work of God among His people. Kevin and Robin brought their greetings to Koinonia from the Grace Church. Adrian and Ruth brought greetings from the First Hungarian Baptist Church, Oradea, Romania and the Pro-Africa team. Ruth brought greetings from the family and request from her daughters to teach her some Kenyan customs. Bonnie, Rebecca, Lucia, and Meg brought greetings from ACTS Fellowship, their families, and Teleios Ministry partners. The present of God’s Spirit was so real and the worship seemed to be over in a few minutes but exactly lasted about 2.5 hours.

After worship, we had chai (milk and tea mix), muffins, and sandwiches provided by the Young People for guests and those who made decisions to follow Jesus Christ during the service. We said goodbye for the first time to the Grace team as they headed for lunch and last minute things before flying out late at night. The ACTS team had lunch and then went to Happy Day to meet with Mary and Elister to set up and prepare for Children’s Bible Week at Happy Day Academy, Tigoni. The team had a great first day and anticipation and expectation were high for the beginning of the week.
