Sunday: Good Bye and Hey!

Sunday is change day.  The bus brought children from Glodeni and Chauvas where Zoli Dohi works with Attila (not Toth) and Robby.  He also brought with him Szidi (Jeno's sister and long time camper and camp helper).   As soon as they unpacked the bus, Attila Toth loaded up the 56 children from Gornesi and Peris area and headed home.

Each morning the team begins the day with a devotion time that includes singing, an "extended thought for the day from the Scriptures", and planning conversation.  Today, we basically said good bye and covered last minute instructions.

Bonnie presented the last Bible Story, Paul and Kati awarded prizes for the teams and for the daily room inspections.   Of course, one of the girls rooms won.  The Yellow Team won the points.

Adel Toth and I along with the camp cook, went over menus and made of list of supplies to be bought.  Adel Nagy and I went to Sibiu shopping--five hours later we returned with a car load of food supplies and basic "medical" supplies for the week.  Also, the staff had some requests--can you can snickers bars, Poiana chocolate bars, peanuts, and Coke Zero.

Zoli's group had some camp acclamation time.  Bonnie led the quilt squares and backpack design time.  Each child received a quilt square to design with fabric markers.  The squares are put together and the quilt hangs at camp during the week.   Also, each child made a backpack to put their crafts, papers or anything else from this week.

After dinner was a combination introduction sessions led by Bonnie and the Story of the 12 year old Jesus by Kati.   Jeno, Paul, and Emi led the singing.  The children really got into the singing.   We had a great opening night worship.   These children know the Gypsy language much better thatn Hungarian or Romanian.  So, English becomes Hungarian becomes Gypsy.  At the end of the Bible story Attila came up and gave a summary in Gypsy language of Kati's teaching.  This is going to be a great camp.

Oh, it started to rain while the children were working outside on the backpacks and quilt squares.  Bonnie said, "Oh, Lord please let it stop long enough for us to finish.   A minute later it stopped and the children finished their creations.
