THURSDAY: GREAT CHILDREN GREAT TIME

On Thursday, we had a great day with the kids.   The first morning the children woke up by 6:30am.   Now they are waking up later and later.  Today, mostly after 7:30am.   Every morning before the children are suppose to wake up we meet together for devotion, prayer, singing, and go over the day.   Then, it’s the children’s breakfast, followed by prayer in the rooms, and room clean up.   The rooms are inspected and points are awarded for cleanliness and being straighten-up.   During this time, we are eating our breakfast and continuing to go over the order (or managed chaos) of the day.

Jeno, Emi, and Zozo led the singing this morning.  Bonnie taught the Bible lesson.   The group is divided into three groups: Red, Yellow, and Blue.   For small group time the color group is divided by age into two smaller groups.   During the small group time, groups are everywhere.

Games usually lasts about an hour and half.   Today, you see featured our hula hoop roll and the egg race.

In the afternoon the craft rotation was building paddle boats to race in the river.   There was some swimming (very, very short—it’s really cool here for summer).   Also, there is soccer, crafts, and small group games.

Tonight we had three very good plays.   Yellow was about a young man who did not obey his father.   Red group was about a pastor and his family who left on holiday and when he came back his church was in trouble.  The blue group was about a young man who became dirty even though he said that he wanted to be clean.   Drama judges Bonnie and Floyd Parker had a big challenge trying to decide between the groups.   Bonnie and Jeno gave their testimonies in worship and Attila spoke on Naaman’s cleansing.   We finished off the night with bananas for a snack.
