Sunday: ACTS Worship and Eastern Team Travels Home

On Sunday, the Eastern Team began their journey home. First they flew from Iringa to Dar on Auric Air. This proved to be an interesting and eye opening trip. He had us load the plane. He did not tell us we had water or snacks. We loaded up and took off. The pilot put the plane on auto pilot and read the paper and appeared to nod as he flew. When we got to Dar Es Salaam the winds were strong and the plane was moving side to side, up and down. The pilot did a good job landing the plane. The Eastern went to shop for wood carvings and paintings. This is like the jockey lot on steroids. Bargaining is a must. Starting price 450,000 Tsh purchase price was 20,000 TSH ( 1 USD=1600 TSH). After shopping in the hot, humid Dar afternoon, we headed for our home in DAR, the Namnani Hotel, for showers and final packing. Then, the team was off for a quick supper-- Southern Fried chick and Jumbo Burgers, fries, and Pepsi. After a really good hamburger, seriously, we headed for the airport. Everything went great for the team. Their travels went well as they went from Dar Es Salaam to Zurich to Washington to Greenville. Bonnie and Neema stayed in Iringa. Bonnie preached at ACTS Fellowship, Iringa, on Sunday morning. With the children of DBLCH, they had a great worship time.
