Tuesday-Wednesday: Asante Sana Children's Home and Safari

On Tuesday, the team stopped by Asante Sana Children’s Home, Nzihi, to see the children and the facilities.   The staff led by Scholar and Pawdre Scout served up a breakfast of chicken soup and bread with coffee, tea, or water.   The children have grown so much (not just physically) but in their interaction over the past year.    When Esau saw Bonnie he came running to her and they had a long hug.   There was a tour of Pawdre and Scholar’s new home on the ASCH campus.

The children shared their favorite Bible verses and sang songs.    As an added benefit to the team, they also occupied the laps of team members.   The team was surprised to receive a gift from the Asante Sana staff.

After the breakfast the team headed off for Ruaha National Park for a safari.    Maka Mwaisumbe, Masoko Tours, hosted the team on the safari—a great job!   They returned on Wednesday in time for worship with the DBLCH children.   They had quite an adventure.
