Monday and Tuesday: Unbelieveable and Work

Stuck on Safari  Bonnie's face says it all

King of the Jungle resting

Monday we stopped by Asante Sana Children’s Home.   Attila and Zsolt were looking at the roof because it is leaking.  The roof is made of tiles like the ones used in Romania.    They found the problems and left a list of things needed to “patch” the roof until it can be properly fixed.   Looks like a working trip for some Hungarians from Romania.   Preston stayed the day at Asante Sana working with the children on art projects.    He returned to DBLCH on Monday evening and spent Tuesday working with the children teaching them drawing and working on art projects.

Attila, Zsolt, Bonnie and Floyd were at Ruaha National Park the rest of the day through noon on Tuesday.    We saw a lot of animals including elephants, giraffe, lions, zebra, kudu, antelopes, hippos, digdigs, blackback jackels, baboons, warthogs, and many different type of birds.   Even a few strange insects like the chameleon that we found on the way home.

The rains came on Monday and Tuesday!   At Ruaha, the usually dry "Sand River" was full and raging.   At DLBCH, the rains were so heavy that  section of the wall at the back corner of the children's home collapsed.   This has been the most rain that Bonnie and I have experienced in January in Tanzania.   Attila and Zsolt were amazed at how heavy the rains are.

Tuesday afternoon we visited the farm and the Secondary School.   In the evening devotion, Zsolt brought the message in Hungarian, Attila translated from Hungarian to English and William translated from English into Swahili.   There was a great time of worship.   Then, we all said, “Kwaheri (goodbye)” to the children.  There was a lot of hugs and photo
s.    On Wednesday, Preston begins his safari home through the air.   Attila, Zsolt, Bonnie, and Floyd with Neema and Mpeli will drive to Mbeya to see the Mwaisumbes on Wednesday night and the Mwasanjala family on Thursday in Tukuyu.
