Tuesday: Destruction Gives Way to Rebuilding, Praising and Thanking
Today, the team (now expanded to include Tanzanian Tony, Leonard, and Sadiki) painted the interior of the Baby Room a nice yellow with a dark brown bottom stripe. The new windows will be in soon (Hopefully by the end of the week). Inspite of the rain, the guys put three coats of paint on most of the room. The room looks great! So, when we finished the painting of the Baby Room we just rested and hung out with the DBLCH family.
Bonnie, Floyd, Neema, and Mpeli went to the Bread of Life Secondary School to meet with the teachers and staff. They received a gift of appreciation. They now have a drum corp and the students do marching drills! We have added four new students this week. BIG NEWS: Land came available and was purchased to build a soccer field. The cost for getting the ground level was only $200. All done by hand. Bonnie brought a new dissecting microscope for the school. Barak, the biology teacher, was very excited. On Friday Bonnie will be presenting a biology lesson.
Tonight, Mpeli thanked Tony and Alex for their hard work. They completed five scheduled days of work in two days.
As a side note, the rains came last night and today. No reporting tomorrow we will be traveling.
