Bonnie gets a Basket and the life of week 2

Istvan presents Bonnie with hand made basket to
express their appreciation for her leading the camp
Bonnie got a great surprise with the gift of a basket from the Glodeni children.   This was the eighth year of camp and Bonnie's seventh year leading and developing the material for camp.   Without Bonnie's year long developing, promoting, and encouragement the camps would not take place. The children recognize her contribution to their lives.

On the last night of camp, one of the greatest times of camp took place.   During our closing worship time, Attila invited the children to share their decisions in camp.  Tamas from Gornesti is a long time camper and last year made a commitment to follow Christ.  He began sharing how he repented last year and the difference that it made in his life.  You could see it.   Then,  his sister, Monica, got up and shared that she had repented and received Christ the first night of camp this year.   (On Monday night at Gornesti Gypsy church   worship Tamas and Monica introduced their father to me.  This was his first time in worship.  A powerful witness to the impact of the camp not just on the children but on their families.  Tamas and Monica were so excited for their father to be with them.)
I don't know how many children shared but it was at least a dozen.   Always the leaders shared their testimony but tonight the children shared openly their camp decisions.  The challenge now is to walk with them to build on these decisions helping them to grow just like they learned in camp (about growing in their life in Jesus Christ).
