Thursday: The Dream of Young People, a Sample of Everyday life, and the Rain

Bonnie and I met with the secondary students at Daily Bread Life Children's Home and asked them: What is your dream? What do you want to do?

The Boys: Chris-Accountant, Leonard-Accountant, Agrey-Pilot and Doudi-Pastor

The Girls: Agnes-Surgeon, Teresa-Accountant, Halima-Teacher.

The children walking from their dorms to the Library and Nursery School Building.

Samuel, Mpeli and Neema's son, leads a group of children in hide and seek chase.

Ruthi is one of the original staff of DBL. She came to work even before there was a children's home. She is handling the general washing needs of the children's home. The older children do their own clothes.

The Drying Shed is an absolute necessity during the rainy season. A team of Teleios partners team built the shed in June 2008.

Mboka, Neema's neice, cleans up after breakfast. Already she has been at work with laundry. She is a very hard working young lady.

The rains are really coming. Even now it is rainy so hard that it is washing away fields and roads. Rivers where there was nothing. The government just finished a new road in front of Daily Bread Life Children's Home. There is no road now. We could not get the Nissan to the Children's Home.

This is the road leading to the children's home. Bonnie and Neema are in the distance. Mpeli came and searched for a way to drive the vehicles back home. We thank God for the Tractor. Even with all the rain and mud, a new "entrance road" was built in a small amount of time. The tractor is proving to be a great addition--it seems everyday a new use is found for it.

Please pray for the area Chairman. Every 10 houses has a Chairman who represents the area to the local government. His mother died this afternoon. Our trip to Mbeya tomorrow has been delayed in order to attend the funeral. Hopefully we will be able to post as we travel. If not, it will be Monday before we will be able to post. Thank you in advance for your prayers, encouragement, and support.
