Back to the Bricks!

Bacon! French Toast! Sausage! This morning we were greeted with a wonderful breakfast that Jonas prepared.  We definitely needed a hearty breakfast since the General had us on a strict work schedule!

The sidewalk project was completed today.  Since we worked ourselves out of a job, we asked Neema and Mpeli what other things we could do to help. They suggested making shelves for the children to put in their rooms. Trey and Rudy stepped up to the plate and took on the job of making the shelves.  We did not have the necessary wood on hand, so they got to venture into town with Neema and Mpeli to get supplies at the lumber yard.  They enjoyed this experience and getting to ride in the back of the work truck.

George and Chris installed smoke detectors throughout the children's dorm. Today was a great day of progress as many jobs were completed.

We are looking forward to another full day of work tomorrow. We are also excited to be heading out to the "lions den" at the safari camp in Ruaha National Park. Planning to use Chris for bait! HAHA! For now, Hakuna Mutata!

Matt and George did a great job laying bricks!

The children are such hard workers and loved to help us!

Taking a break to play "African London Bridge."
